Inaugural Ceremony of Devi Temple

A Grand function was arranged in Varadenahalli, a nearby village of Siddhaloka, on 9th December 2006, for the inauguration of a Devi Temple. Param Poojya Sri Gurudev was welcomed by a large gathering at the entrance of the village. HE was escorted to the newly built temple with traditional procession. After the worship of the holy feet of Param Poojya Sri Gurudev by the couple who had built the temple, the Priests completed the final ritual of Kumbha Abhishekha by the Lotus Hands of Sri Gurudev.
           Subsequently, Param Poojya Swami Ji assumed HIS seat on the Stage. Among those present on the dais were members of Karnataka Legislative Assembly and Former Ministers of Karnataka. In HIS brief address Param Poojya Sri Gurudev urged to follow punctuality in life. After distributing clothes to poor and stationery and school uniform to the students, the program concluded.
 

Sri Dattatreya Jayanti- 4th December 2006

The Birthday of Sri Guru Dattatreya, propounder of Siddha Yoga was celebrated with Bhajans and Prasad Distribution on 4th December. Param Poojya Sri Gurudev gave a small discourse on the incarnation of Sri Dattatreya , son of Sage Atri and Anusuya. His birth was a boon given to Sati Anusuya by the three Gods – Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara. After narrating this story Param Poojya Sri Gurudev related some miracles which happened in the presence of Bhagwan Nityananda. Many of which were similar to those that took place in Sage Dattatreya’s time.

Siddha Meditation Intensive - 19th November 2006

“ I experienced a wonderful spark while Shaktipat Deeksha ” wrote a participant in his Question Slip. The Siddha Meditation Intensive held on 19th November was a unique as the participants came from different walks of life. An eighty year old, senior and popular High Court lawyer, Former Secretary of Karnataka Pollution Control Board, Engineers, Professors, Housewives, Industrialists were among them.

Sri Dhanalakshmi Pooja

Sri Dhanalakshmi Pooja (Worship of the Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity) was performed on the auspicious Ashwayuja Krishna Amavasya i.e. the 21st October, Saturday. One day earlier earthen lamps were lighted all around Siddhaloka and this ritual continued till Sunday. Children were given special Prasad and crackers to celebrate Deepavali.

Sri Muktananda Punyatithi

24th Punyatithi of Muktananda Paramahamsa was observed on 7th October at 10 P.M. with the chanting of Sri Vishnu Sahasranam and ‘Om namo Bhagavate Muktanandaya’. Sharp at 11 P.M. (the time Baba Muktananda attained Mahasamadhi) Arati was offered. The Prasad prepared under the open sky was distributed to all by the lotus hands of Param Poojya Sri Gurudev. Village children and other participants watched the video of Siddha Yoga Dham Silver Jubilee Celebrations.

Ayudh Pooja 

The worship of weapons, tools, instruments and vehicles etc. was performed on 1st October. Param Poojya Swami Ji commenced the Pooja with the blowing of the conch. Children attended in large numbers as it was their regular play time in Siddhaloka. Prasad was distributed to all those present in the Pooja.

 


The poor village women around Siddhaloka visited to collect their annual clothing distribution by the lotus hands of Param Poojya Sri Gurudev. The children who had come along with their mothers received sweets and school stationery.
 

 Sri Sankashtahara Ganapati Seva Samiti of RPC Layout, Vijayanagar invited Param Poojya Sri Gurudev for a Siddha Yoga Satsang on 24th of September, 2006. HE was given a revered welcome with a procession from the main entrance with Poorna Kumbha in the midst of the temple band party playing religious hymns.
Addressing a large gathering HE narrated two stories of Bhagwan Nityananda when HE was a wandering seer in South Canara. ‘Nityananda walked across a flooded river at midnight which was witnessed by a solitary boatman. In another incident HE removed the poison from a tribal lady’s breasts in broad daylight in front of hundreds of people.’
Citing these examples Param Poojya Sri Gurudev explained that the Yogis do not demonstrate their powers in front of thousands. However Bhagwan Nityananda chose open daylight, thus protecting the dignity of the society, to save the children from death because of breastfeeding.
Referring to a Sadhu who had spent millions in celebrating his birthday, Param Poojya Swami Ji called it a publicity gimmick and waste of time and money. HE also cautioned people not to fall in the trap of such frauds. After HIS brief discourse HE answered the questions of the audience.
 


The Chiguru Baalavikas Sanstha, an organization working for the welfare of children, had arranged a camp for children to encourage them to join schools. On its conclusive day the organization invited Param Poojya Swami Ji to bless the children. HE urged the children to dream big and aim for the utmost.
 

The Satya Shaneshwar Temple Trust, Nandini Layout, Bangalore, invited Param Poojya Sri Gurudev for a Satsang on the propitious occasion of their annual poor feeding function. HE said to the public gathered there that one should open his heart to his Guru considering HIM as one’s own Self. Smt. Prema V. Muniraju sung the invocation Bhajan based on the same subject. After the Question Answer session Param Poojya Sri Gurudev distributed Prasad to all the three hundred devotees present there.

Siddha  Meditation Intensive - 15th August 2006 (Divya Deeksha Day)

15th of August is called as Divya Deeksha (Divine Initiation) Day because Bhagwan Nityananda gave Shaktipat Initiation to HIS five selected disciples on this day. It is understood to be the day when Bhagwan Nityananda first appeared in a cave in Kerala in 1908.
On 15th August 2006 an Intensive was arranged at Siddhaloka. The participants shared their experiences like this :
 "By the touch of Siddha Guru my body and mind became light. I experienced as if some nightmare left me."
" After Shaktipat I went into a thought free state. There was involuntary shaking in my body."
"It was indeed a very good experience. I felt as if I was floating in the air and was not able to control my body movements. After you tapped my forehead I could see some colours in the form of waves within and it was even synchronized with the vibrations in my body."
" I experienced some sensations in my forehead and crown of the head."
" I felt warm sensations along my spinal cord."
 

                 On 19th July Param Poojya Swami Ji was invited for a Live- phone-in Program on Udaya TV, a popular Kannada channel. The subject of the program was “Rules and Regulations in the temples and other places of worship”. HE began with narrating an incident that took place during Bhagwan Nityananda’s time at Ganeshpuri. Bhagwan used to give Darshan daily at 8.30 in the morning. Thousands of people used to wait for HIS Darshan. Once, the then Chief Justice of High Court, visited Ganeshpuri and asked Param Poojya Swamiji that when thousands of people are waiting for HIS Darshan what is Bhagwan Nityananda doing inside ? At this Param Poojya Sri Gurudev directed the judge to Paramahansa Muktananda and said HE is the perfect person to answer your questions. Baba Muktananda asked the person what he was doing in Bombay. He answered that he was the Chief Justice in the High Court. Baba inquired if the courts are open to all at all times or there is some discipline. The answer was ‘yes’. Then Baba told that Bhagwan Nityananda is a Siddha Guru and HE follows strict discipline in HIS daily schedule.

Thus stressing the importance of discipline in all walks of life, Param Poojya Swami Ji answered all the questions that came from the viewers during the 1 Hour program. Kannada speaking people all over the world watched the program and contacted Siddhaloka for further guidance from HIM.


    Param Poojya Sri Gurudev gave a talk at the Office of the Pollution Control Board, Karnataka, on 27th July. In HIS one hour discourse HE spoke about the three types of Karmas and also exp
lained about how to remove them through Shaktipat. The audience of more than hundred officers listened to the divine words carefully and asked questions to which HE replied giving scriptural evidences and citing small stories. The Chairman of the Karnataka Pollution Control Board Sri Bhoomanand Mane and The Board Secretary Sri Ramaiah felicitated  Param Poojya Sri Gurudev.


 Bhagwan Nityananda Punyatithi

The 45th Punyatithi (Mahasamadhi Day) of Bhagwan Nityananda was observed on 22nd July with chanting of Nityananda Bhajans and Bal Bhojan (feeding little children) of three nearby primary schools as Bhagwan Nityananda loved children very much.
             

 More than 150 school children had scrumptious and wholesome food. Param Poojya Swami Ji Himself distributed them stationery items and gave them Dakshina. In the evening too high school students visited Siddhaloka and had Prasad and Dakshina. The devotees who attended the Bhajans session also served the children and left Siddhaloka in the evening.
 

                                                           “GRAND CELEBRATIONS CONCLUDED”

Siddhaloka, July 16, 2006 : - The Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Siddha Yoga Dham were celebrated at Siddhaloka, Doddipalya, Magadi Taluk in a grand manner. The program commenced with chanting of Sri Gurugita at 6 A.M. on 8.7.2006. The inauguration was performed by the lotus hands of Siddha Guru Swami Chetanananda Saraswati, amidst the Veda Mantras chanted by the students of Veda Vigyan Gurukulam, Channenahalli. The former Joint Secretary of the Karnataka Legislature Sri Krishnappa Kanvathirtha narrated the report of the activities and achievements of Siddha Yoga Dham in the past 25 years. Dr. Ramchandra Bhat, the Principal of Gurukulam, in his address to the gathering explained the significance of the science of Sanatan Vedic Dharma. Sri Mahesh Joshi, Director of Bangalore Doordarshan in his presidential address spoke about the role of modern media in propagating religious messages from different cults.

Sri Ramchandra Gowda, Minister for Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka was the Chief Guest at the Celebrations on 9.7.2006. In his address he explained the government schemes for employment for the rural youth and also assured to provide a good tar road and drinking water supply to Siddhaloka. Dr. Mumtaz Ali Khan, the famous Social Worker of Bangalore, in his speech laid stress to lead life practicing patriotism and unity without any discrimination of religion, caste & creed. Sri Philip Lewis, the leading Industrialist presided the function. High School students of surrounding villages participated in the functions an all the four days.


            On 10th July 2006, the third day of celebrations, Vidwan K.G. Subraya Sharma, a Vedic scholar advised about various spiritual activities to be put into practice in daily human life. He said that “there is no difference between Avadhoota Nityananda of Vajreshwari and HIS disciple Swami Chetanananda Saraswati. Both have the same power to impart Shaktipat Initiation. The people world over need their blessings.” Sri G.K. Gundurao spoke about the Human Resources development in India.

          On the Concluding and fourth day of celebrations Sri M.N. Venkatachalaiah, Former Chief Justice of The Supreme Court of India was the Chief Guest. He explained with simple examples that one can proceed on the path of liberation easily by surrendering to the Guru leaving aside the Ego. His Holiness Swami Chetanananda Saraswati, the Spiritual Head of Siddha Yoga Dham and founder of Siddhaloka Ashram explained the significance of Sri Guru Poornima Day narrating very interesting parables.

        In sweet memories of the four day Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Siddha Yoga Dham thirty two renowned persons were honoured with the award of “SIDDHA-SHRI” and presented mementos. Smt. Sujatha Prasad of Mysore, Vidushi Vasanthalaxmi Sridhar of Swabhanu Music School, Bangalore, Sri Sankashtahara Ganapati Bhajan Mandali, Smt. Laxmi and group offered devotional songs on all four days.

The Grand Silver Jubilee Celebrations were concluded on 11th July, 2006 the auspicious Sri Guru Poornima Day.
 

 

The Siddha Meditation Intensive was held on 13th May 2006 on the auspicious occasion of Parmahamsa Muktananda’s 98th Birth Anniversary. Participants were blessed by the divine touch of Param Poojya Sri Gurudev and expressed happiness in their question slips. All went for a round of Siddhaloka after taking Prasad and went back in a blissful state.
 

The month of March was children special. Param Poojya Swami Ji attended the Birthday celebration of Moksha, daughter of Jayalaxmi (member of the Board of Trustees of Siddha Yoga Dham). At 10A.M. HE reached the venue where HE was welcomed with Arati at the entrance and Paad Pooja was offered by the parents of the birthday baby. All those present prostrated to the holy feet and received Prasad. Moksha received the special Prasad of toys, sweets, and other stationery.

The regular child visitors of the nearby villages and the Bangalore city were given toys, playing items, stationery and clothing sent by Gina Aviles from USA. Small babies who came with their mothers and other children were delighted to receive the presents.
 

 

The Siddha Meditation Intensive held on 26th February was only one of its kind. People from Australia, Switzerland, Mangalore and Bangalore participated. They  expressed their experiences as follows:-
• Bright light frequently appeared in front of my eyes.
• After Shaktipat Deeksha I experienced a divine smell which I had never experienced in my life. I saw an orange colour circle shimmer five times before it dissolved in the space.
• I thank Guruji for the wonderful experience. I will come again & again for your Darshan at Siddhaloka.
• I experienced a light and felt myself merging with that. I saw a beautiful mango tree laden with fruits. I felt great love for Guruji, Swami Muktananda and Nityananda.
• I had a vision that I was sitting in a cave inside a forest with greenery around. Swami Muktananda was speaking to me. HE was sitting in a forest where there were lot of big stones. Later HE disappeared.
 

 

Param Poojya Sri Gurudev was invited by Sri Govinda Reddy an ardent devotee of HIM for the inauguration of the Apartment “Sky Line” on 12th February . Sri Reddy welcomed HIM respectfully at the entrance of the building and offered “Pada Pooja”


 

On 5th February Param Poojya Sri Gurudev graced the wedding ceremony of Shashikala, daughter of the telephone exchange chief of Siddhaloka, Sri Anjanappa. HE was given a warm welcome with  Paad Puja and the local band playing traditional music. The newly married couple received HIS blessings and HE presented a momento of Siddhaloka. When Param Poojya Swami Ji returned to the Ashram the Sunday visitors were waiting for HIS Darshan.

 

14th Foundation Day of Siddhaloka

On 14th January 2006 a special satsang and Bhajan session was organized to celebrate the 14th Foundation Day of Siddhaloka. Commencing HIS discourse Param Poojya Sri Gurudev said that in the last four years we were celebrating this day with a Siddha Meditation Intensive considering propagating Siddha Yoga and Shaktipat is a great help to the humanity and it is the main objective behind establishing Siddhaloka. But this year which is the Silver Jubilee year of Siddha Yoga Dham it was decided to conduct the intensives four times a year and so we are once again having the anniversary celebration. The satsang went on for three hours with chanting of ‘Chetan Gita’ (the songs of consciousness). Param Poojya Swami Ji explained the meaning of all the 12 songs written and composed by HIM. After the Arati was offered to the Siddhas everyone received Prasad from the lotus hands of Param Poojya Sri Gurudev after which Pongal (special food prepared on Makar Sankranti Day) was distributed to the entire gathering.
